"The inspection service that Rob provided was invaluable. He was thorough during the scheduling process, making sure I was aware of exactly what to expect. He was professional and personable throughout. The entire inspection took all of eight hours and I can't imagine there was one part of the RV we were buying that he didn't cover. As he went about the inspection, he called to my attention any issues he encountered, from the very serious to the minor. Right off, I was extremnely grateful that he discovered a serious propane tank leak. I opted for the fluid analysis and glad that I did, even if I didn't completely understand the details of the report, I knew enough to know there were issues with the engine and generator oil that I can address with the seller. Rob cares about the job he's doing and the best interest of the buyer is his priority."

"If there were 10 stars, I would not hesitate in giving a 10/10 review! I have never bought a camper before so I wanted to make sure I was making a smart buy for a used camper. I never thought I'd be so impressed! Rob was the inspector and the report was over 100 pages long including every single detail he could find. Every single detail is no exaggeration! Beyond the extremely organized report Rob took the time to include a table of contents with the most important life hazards up top in red. Not to mention the great attention to detail in the photos! They were not just basic photos they had specific arrows pointing to exactly what he was talking about with a text input to describe what was on there. And I forgot to mention this report was given the same day the inspection was done it cannot get better than that! Rob even called after the report to ask if I had any questions and when I asked for advice he gave me everything I needed to make sure I was making the right buy. "We decided to purchase a smaller RV and started shopping for it. After doing research, the lowest price point we could find was in Indiana. We live in PA, and I wasn't comfortable with the idea of picking up our RV and bringing it home sight unseen. During our research, we discovered that we could have the RV inspected by a third party. That gave me a much better comfort level. We contacted Robert, and I was very impressed with his professionalism over the phone, as well as his credentials and reviews. "I hired Rob to inspect a travel trailer several hours from my home. I highly recommend his service for anyone looking for an inspection. "Very happy with the inspection done by Rob! We were purchasing a brand new unit several hundred miles from our home and taking it on the road immediately headed south. We had Rob inspect the unit prior to taking delivery and he found several critical items that an untrained eye would likely have missed and would have impacted us within the first few days (and hundreds of miles away from the dealership). Having a professional look over and test ALL of the systems (electrical, water, mechanical, OEM, etc) was a no-brainer for us and paid off in the end by avoiding what could have been catastrophic delays. If you are on the fence about using Pro RVI to help ensure you spend your time enjoying your new purchase and not dealing with issues, just do it! What is several hours of your time, potential days of delays, and frustration worth to you? It's a small price to pay for having a highly detailed report of the exact issues to leverage with the dealer."

"My wife and I recently utilized Rob's services as we were upgrading from a pop up to a brand new 2024 travel trailer. Even though it was brand new, Rob was able to identify multiple issues that needed to be addressed by the dealer before moving forward with the purchase. Rob's spent 6 hours inspecting the unit and his service also included an extremely detailed 76 page report. The report includes multiple pictures, explanations, suggestions and is very informative. I printed off the entire report and plan to keep it as a reference to look back to.
We were able to present Rob's detailed report to the dealer and they agreed to fix all issues that we would not have as easily identified had we not used Rob's services. My advice to anyone thinking about hiring Rob, just do it. He is prompt, professional, knowledgeable and his attention to detail is second to none. The best way to protect your investment is to know exactly what you are getting beforehand. It will save you a ton of headache and money down the road.

"Rob is a true professional that delivers a much needed service at a reasonable rate. He was responsive to our scheduling request and helped us understand the entire process. We setup an initial meeting location that had to be changed the day before because of some uncooperative folks. Rob had no problem with switching to the new location. He arrived on time and completed a comprehensive inspection that took a little over 8 hours. We had our 96 page report less than 24 hours later! The report is presented with life safety issues at the top followed by major then minor issues. Life safety issues have not only pictures but also cite the actual code that is in violation along with the section of the code! The report also provides results by area or system. The RV Rob inspected is our 6th unit and we will NEVER buy another RV without having his inspection report in hand so all issues are resolved before we take possession. "I wanted you let you know how everything worked out with (selling dealer).
They scheduled me for a late appointment to show me the RV and sign. They seemed surprised that I brought your inspection report and told them I would be going through every fault you found. About 30 minutes later one of them came over and told me the shop crew will be leaving soon and I needed to be finished. I told him I'll be finished when I complete my verification that all faults have been resolved. They left me alone and someone came over to help me with a mechanic.
The only things they fixed before I arrived was the kitchen faucet, tiny holes in the underbelly, screws in the side skirt and the fire extinguisher strap. I made sure they finished fixing everything else. As for the weld in the front, I contacted (the manufacturer) before I arrived and sent them a picture of the weld. They called me back and said it does need to be re-welded. I showed the shop manager after he told me they were not going to fix it. He changed his mind and the weld has been re-done.

"This was the smart thing to do long distance. Motorhome is 997 miles away. Having an independent person giving it a check over was a smart thing to do. Dealer got the idea I'm serious about buying it. THOUSANDS of dollars were saved by having the dealer do the repairs to make everything right, they did the repairs before pick up, PLUS I didn't have to wait to have the things does like most repair shops. The 120-page report is worth its weight in gold! I was given detailed pictures. Fluid analysis was a smart thing to do! Paid extra but I know exactly where my engine, transmission, engine cooling and generator. I know I'm actually buying a 16K (mile) motorhome with little wear! This inspector is top shelf! Worth the money!"

The info found in our report didn’t stop us from purchasing our TT, but it helped us to have the dealer repair the items before we purchased or took it home.

"I recommend Rob. He is professional, thorough, knowledgeable and worth every penny. My family looked at a 2013 Fifth Wheel but ultimately decided not to purchase it. However, we were armed with a comprehensive report that found items as inconspicuous but significant as a propane leak as well as minor issues like a crack in the refrigerator crisper tray ....and EVERYTHING in between! We used the report to consult with an RV repairman on potential repair costs. Had we moved forward with the purchase, the report would have been a very useful negotiation tool. I believe Rob's work kept us from spending $20K on a unit and $15K+ on repairs undisclosed and possibly unknown to the dealer. I recommend Rob and will use him again on our next find."

"If, like me, you are buying an RV for the first time, it may come as a shock how low a priority quality control appears to be in the RV industry. You cannot compare this to buying a car or even a house. You might have to lower your expectations big time, and even if you buy from a manufacturer known for better quality, you will still want to make sure you're getting what you paid for. Trust but verify, right? If you live in the Chicago area, consider yourself very lucky and look no further. Rob Wilhelm did such a thorough, detail-oriented inspection on my brand new teardrop trailer, I was really glad to be there to witness it. I was trying to stay out of his way as he worked but I kept asking questions, all of which he answered, and I learned a lot just from looking over his shoulder as he tested the various systems on my new trailer. The following morning I received a very detailed, 50-page report which included super helpful photos and descriptions of all his findings. "I purchased the RV. The inspection report was detailed, organized, and the fluid analysis was a huge part of our purchase decision. The information was very useful, and definitely, worth the investment. I was able to negotiate repairs which was great for me. One of the slide outs had wood rot in the floor and the dealer replaced the entire floor, repaired torn slide toppers, replaced all smoke, CO2, and LP detectors. The dealer did not replace the batteries as they initially stated, but they rejuvenated the batteries, so they can hold a charge. The dealer replaced the oil gasket seal and changed the oil. They changed the transmission fluid at my cost of $300.00. (assuming that price was reasonable). I was not able to negotiate price, but the inspection was well worth it for our purchase decision. I gave the dealer a copy of the report, and they indicated it was very detailed. I would highly recommend Rob for a RV Inspections and I will definitely use his services again on any future purchases. Pro RVI is definitely 5 stars."

It was pretty worn inside and out though operationally for the most part, it worked…. we used your very thorough findings to negotiate but the seller wasn't willing to come down enough on price. I'm glad we didn't buy it. He was willing to come down $3000 from his price. According to your findings, there were at least $7000 - $8000 in repairs and it would still have looked beat up.
I wish we would have used you for the one we purchased. It was same make and model, in much better shape than the 1st one, but we would have avoided some of the surprises. "My positive experience with Rob Wilhelm of Professional RV Inspections, LLC was nothing short of amazing. Rob's very thorough inspection revealed numerous significant issues with an RV that looked nice from very little use that would have caused me many thousands of dollars in structural repairs and perhaps worse, due to water intrusion i did not see in my own inspection of the RV. Had this RV not been thoroughly inspected by someone with a knowledgeable eye as Mr. Wilhelm, my family may have been impacted by god-knows-what-complication from a cracked outside wall panel, and numerous water intrusion spots that I believe not only resulted in wall "delamination" I did not notice, but I think possible other things from water damage that can occur such as electrical and structural issues as well down the road. I have never purchased an RV before, and so I need to rely on someone who can tell me the truth about an RV's condition. "This by far was the best money spent on our new motor home. Since we purchased new, our vehicle is still under warranty and we wanted to make sure everything checked out. We purposely waited to do this until after we've had a handful of trips to see how things held up and to also figure out what might need to be fixed while still under warranty. Rob was so helpful, from our initial communication through completion of inspection, he is very prompt and thorough. Also, the report that we received as a result of the inspection was very similar to that of a home inspection, there were a lot of pictures and detailed references to things that he found. he also took the time to explain safety stuff and pointed out things in the report for our own reference about the RV. There are lots of opportunities to consider when to use Rob, in addition to doing what we did, you can also use him prior to you purchasing and if buying used, I would definitely recommend doing something like this. Additionally, Rob also has repeat customers who do annual safety checks prior to the season starting or at the end of the season to see what maintenance work might need to be done during the down time. I honestly recommend this for everyone whether you are buying new or used. I am so happy that our new RV will have the opportunity to have a handful of minor items addressed while still under warranty as these are things we never would have caught."

"We are first time RV buyers and knowing nothing about RV maintenance and we were wanting to get a couple year old rig, we thought it was worth looking into an inspection. "I'm new to RV'ing, and spending a few hundred dollars for access to Rob's expertise was so worth it. A coach I was seriously looking at had had some pretty significant water intrusion issues sometime in its past. Rob zeroed in on that and, while he didn't say "I wouldn't buy this if I were you," he clearly demonstrated to me the extent of the damage, and gave me a feel for what else might be implied by the evidence of neglect. Just as importantly, the problem with this particular coach became a "teachable moment", and it impressed on me the importance of relentlessly paying attention to potential leak sites on the coach I eventually will find. "We used Robert to check out a used RV we wanted to purchase. From the beginning he was professional and prompt with his communications. As first time buyers, we were clueless how the process would work and even how to approach dealers with wanting an inspection. (Although we ended up purchasing from a private seller, I first contacted Rob about an RV we were considering at a dealership.) Rob helped with all of this and proceeded to do an extensive inspection on the RV, uncovering some items we never would have noticed ourselves. Ultimately we concluded our RV was in acceptable shape for its age and nothing uncovered made us want to walk away from the sale. Although the dealership offered a free 90-day house warranty, I knew going back to the dealership with issues wouldn't be an option. "My wife and I never owned an RV, so when we started shopping for a travel trailer we got a little nervous reading online about quality issues with many new RV's. Our main concern is about safety, but also wanted to make sure everything in the travel trailer was working right. To ease our mind we decided we would have our new RV inspected before final sale (this was written into the contract). We searched online for RV inspectors and saw that Rob from Pro RVI had a good reputation. Rob inspected our new RV right at Camping World (Wauconda, IL) and gave us a well detailed report with many photos. Rob found a number of issues with the RV: cracked roof-top sealant, small leak under the shower, ripped electrical loom under the slide, and some other small items. So, not only were we reassured there were not any major issues with the RV, Camping World fixed all the issues Pro RVI found during their inspection. In addition to the detailed report, Rob was very patient in answering all of our questions, which us as new RV owners had many. He is very knowledgable on all things RV and is willing to share that knowledge. Lastly, he was very responsive through out the process. "I was looking around for a Class B Rv to purchase and found a Roadtrek in Illinois for sale. I live in Maryland so I wanted a mechanic to go check it out before I bought it so I randomly called a auto repair shop in Illinois and they gave me the name Rob Wilhelm. I didn't know he was a level 2 certified RV inspector. I called Rob and told him about the RV and where it was located. He spoke with me at length about RV's. He answered all of my questions and addressed my concerns. Mr. Wilhelm has a wealth of knowledge of all things RV related. I'm new to this so I had a lot of questions and he answered all of them. He did the inspection on the RV and gave me a 92 pg report with pictures detailing everything. Additionally I opted to buy the fluid analysis to ascertain the condition of the transmission, engine, generator and cooling systems. I also got the detailed fluid analysis from the lab in a timely fashion explaining every finding and what it meant on the graph.I can't say enough about Mr. Wilhelm. He's knowledgeable, patient, honest and great to talk with. His professionalism is excellent. He emailed, called etc exactly when he said he would. He never left me hanging and would always return emails and calls promptly. This was a very pleasant experience! I recommend Pro RVI for any inspections you may have in this area or beyond. Actually i just got off the phone with (selling dealer) in regards to the Renegade RV. I have spent the last two days since getting your reports trying to decipher and make decisions on the unit. Since (selling dealer) has taken the attitude that there are no issues with this coach of any kind and it was ridiculous on my part to have the inspection done. I have asked them to send me my down payment back. They insist that no one ever does fluid analysis on units like this. The two main points of contention for me were that the generator needs extensive rework and then retesting to determine its true condition. Also the water damage to the back of the rear slide area was a concern also. My main point of contention though ended up being the results of the cooling test (coolant analysis) for the Detroit diesel engine. After speaking with a diesel mechanic and then a sales person involved in the purchase of used trucks both advised me to walk away from this purchase and that is what I have decided to do. (Selling dealer) was not willing to negotiate any discounts and insisted this RV was in perfect condition and needed no additional work. I did share the reports with seller at his request. I would rate your service at a 5....I will definitely have the next RV I decide I may want to purchase inspected as I feel that it provides great information I may have overlooked in my inspection. "This is my first RV purchase and going into it I felt very uninformed on the mechanical and cosmetic condition of the RV. I have been monitoring prices online for several years, but was always hesitant to take the plunge especially since most RVs I'm interested in are a long ways away from Seattle. When I found the Phillips RV listing, I knew another RV at this price wouldn't come around again. After engaging with the sales person, I started researching RV inspectors. I was skeptical of "Professional RV Inspection", wondering who these people are given that I wouldn't be able to interview my inspector in-person. I found Pro RVI and several other inspectors on NRVIA's website. Pro RVI has a nice website, solid reviews on social media, and I had a great phone conversation with Rob leading up to the inspection. The cost of the inspection was a concern at first, but given the price of the RV it was really a minor expense and a huge piece of mind to know the complete condition of the RV. I was very excited about the RV and the issues found by the inspection helped bring me back down to Earth and refocus on negotiating the price and repairs. Ultimately the dealer made a number of repairs throughout the coach that would have cost me twice what the inspection cost. It more than paid for itself! The purchase depended entirely on the results of the inspection and the dealer's willingness to correct any issues. The fluid reports made me feel a lot better about purchasing the RV and were worth the added expense."

"Yes, I did go ahead with the purchase. The inspection did affect my decision because even though there are some minor mechanical repairs to be addressed, I felt the overall unit was worth the risk especially for the price I paid. I do feel that the inspection was worth it because of it being an older unit the report gave me an overall picture of it's condition and it gave me piece of mind with my decision to purchase. Plus it has given me a good "to do" list of things to be done to the unit. I may not have known where to start otherwise because I am so new to it. I did share the report with the dealer and they did recaulk most, if not all of the seals, they replaced the burnt out light bulbs and took it to a mechanic to check out the dash air. "Very happy with the inspection done by Rob! We were purchasing a brand new unit several hundred miles from our home and taking it on the road immediately headed south. "My wife and I recently utilized Rob's services as we were upgrading from a pop up to a brand new 2024 travel trailer. Even though it was brand new, Rob was able to identify multiple issues that needed to be addressed by the dealer before moving forward with the purchase. "Rob is a true professional that delivers a much needed service at a reasonable rate. He was responsive to our scheduling request and helped us understand the entire process. "I wanted you let you know how everything worked out with (selling dealer).
They scheduled me for a late appointment to show me the RV and sign. They seemed surprised that I brought your inspection report and told them I would be going through every fault you found. About 30 minutes later one of them came over and told me the shop crew will be leaving soon and I needed to be finished. I told him I'll be finished when I complete my verification that all faults have been resolved. They left me alone and someone came over to help me with a mechanic.
The only things they fixed before I arrived was the kitchen faucet, tiny holes in the underbelly, screws in the side skirt and the fire extinguisher strap. I made sure they finished fixing everything else. As for the weld in the front, I contacted (the manufacturer) before I arrived and sent them a picture of the weld. They called me back and said it does need to be re-welded. I showed the shop manager after he told me they were not going to fix it. He changed his mind and the weld has been re-done.

"This was the smart thing to do long distance. Motorhome is 997 miles away. Having an independent person giving it a check over was a smart thing to do. "I recommend Rob. He is professional, thorough, knowledgeable and worth every penny. My family looked at a 2013 Fifth Wheel but ultimately decided not to purchase it. However, we were armed with a comprehensive report that found items as inconspicuous but significant as a propane leak as well as minor issues like a crack in the refrigerator crisper tray ....and EVERYTHING in between! "If, like me, you are buying an RV for the first time, it may come as a shock how low a priority quality control appears to be in the RV industry. You cannot compare this to buying a car or even a house. You might have to lower your expectations big time, and even if you buy from a manufacturer known for better quality, you will still want to make sure you're getting what you paid for. Trust but verify, right? If you live in the Chicago area, consider yourself very lucky and look no further. Rob Wilhelm did such a thorough, detail-oriented inspection on my brand new teardrop trailer, I was really glad to be there to witness it. I was trying to stay out of his way as he worked but I kept asking questions, all of which he answered, and I learned a lot just from looking over his shoulder as he tested the various systems on my new trailer. The following morning I received a very detailed, 50-page report which included super helpful photos and descriptions of all his findings. "I purchased the RV. The inspection report was detailed, organized, and the fluid analysis was a huge part of our purchase decision. The information was very useful, and definitely, worth the investment. I was able to negotiate repairs which was great for me. One of the slide outs had wood rot in the floor and the dealer replaced the entire floor, repaired torn slide toppers, replaced all smoke, CO2, and LP detectors. The dealer did not replace the batteries as they initially stated, but they rejuvenated the batteries, so they can hold a charge. The dealer replaced the oil gasket seal and changed the oil. They changed the transmission fluid at my cost of $300.00. (assuming that price was reasonable). I was not able to negotiate price, but the inspection was well worth it for our purchase decision. I gave the dealer a copy of the report, and they indicated it was very detailed. I would highly recommend Rob for a RV Inspections and I will definitely use his services again on any future purchases. Pro RVI is definitely 5 stars."

I'm glad we didn't buy it. He was willing to come down $3000 from his price. According to your findings, there were at least $7000 - $8000 in repairs and it would still have looked beat up.
I wish we would have used you for the one we purchased. It was same make and model, in much better shape than the 1st one, but we would have avoided some of the surprises. "My positive experience with Rob Wilhelm of Professional RV Inspections, LLC was nothing short of amazing. Rob's very thorough inspection revealed numerous significant issues with an RV that looked nice from very little use that would have caused me many thousands of dollars in structural repairs and perhaps worse, due to water intrusion i did not see in my own inspection of the RV. Had this RV not been thoroughly inspected by someone with a knowledgeable eye as Mr. Wilhelm, my family may have been impacted by god-knows-what-complication from a cracked outside wall panel, and numerous water intrusion spots that I believe not only resulted in wall "delamination" I did not notice, but I think possible other things from water damage that can occur such as electrical and structural issues as well down the road. I have never purchased an RV before, and so I need to rely on someone who can tell me the truth about an RV's condition. "This by far was the best money spent on our new motor home. Since we purchased new, our vehicle is still under warranty and we wanted to make sure everything checked out. We purposely waited to do this until after we've had a handful of trips to see how things held up and to also figure out what might need to be fixed while still under warranty. Rob was so helpful, from our initial communication through completion of inspection, he is very prompt and thorough. Also, the report that we received as a result of the inspection was very similar to that of a home inspection, there were a lot of pictures and detailed references to things that he found. he also took the time to explain safety stuff and pointed out things in the report for our own reference about the RV. There are lots of opportunities to consider when to use Rob, in addition to doing what we did, you can also use him prior to you purchasing and if buying used, I would definitely recommend doing something like this. Additionally, Rob also has repeat customers who do annual safety checks prior to the season starting or at the end of the season to see what maintenance work might need to be done during the down time. I honestly recommend this for everyone whether you are buying new or used. I am so happy that our new RV will have the opportunity to have a handful of minor items addressed while still under warranty as these are things we never would have caught."

"We are first time RV buyers and knowing nothing about RV maintenance and we were wanting to get a couple year old rig, we thought it was worth looking into an inspection. "My husband and I were keen to upgrade our RV to the current model of the Winnebago View- and we happened to locate one at a dealer in Illinois. Unfortunately, we live in Phoenix, so decided that it would be best to send an inspector to take a look before we committed fully. Rob was super responsive and scheduled time with a few days of our call. He was incredibly thorough- took him about 5 hours to get thru a 25 ft motor home. "I'm new to RV'ing, and spending a few hundred dollars for access to Rob's expertise was so worth it. A coach I was seriously looking at had had some pretty significant water intrusion issues sometime in its past. Rob zeroed in on that and, while he didn't say "I wouldn't buy this if I were you," he clearly demonstrated to me the extent of the damage, and gave me a feel for what else might be implied by the evidence of neglect. Just as importantly, the problem with this particular coach became a "teachable moment", and it impressed on me the importance of relentlessly paying attention to potential leak sites on the coach I eventually will find. "We used Robert to check out a used RV we wanted to purchase. From the beginning he was professional and prompt with his communications. As first time buyers, we were clueless how the process would work and even how to approach dealers with wanting an inspection. (Although we ended up purchasing from a private seller, I first contacted Rob about an RV we were considering at a dealership.) Rob helped with all of this and proceeded to do an extensive inspection on the RV, uncovering some items we never would have noticed ourselves. Ultimately we concluded our RV was in acceptable shape for its age and nothing uncovered made us want to walk away from the sale. "I recently bought my first RV. After research online, the rig I wanted was a 3 year old model in Wisconsin and I live in Texas. Although the dealership offered a free 90-day house warranty, I knew going back to the dealership with issues wouldn't be an option. "My wife and I never owned an RV, so when we started shopping for a travel trailer we got a little nervous reading online about quality issues with many new RV's. Our main concern is about safety, but also wanted to make sure everything in the travel trailer was working right. To ease our mind we decided we would have our new RV inspected before final sale (this was written into the contract). We searched online for RV inspectors and saw that Rob from Pro RVI had a good reputation. Rob inspected our new RV right at Camping World (Wauconda, IL) and gave us a well detailed report with many photos. Rob found a number of issues with the RV: cracked roof-top sealant, small leak under the shower, ripped electrical loom under the slide, and some other small items. So, not only were we reassured there were not any major issues with the RV, Camping World fixed all the issues Pro RVI found during their inspection. In addition to the detailed report, Rob was very patient in answering all of our questions, which us as new RV owners had many. He is very knowledgable on all things RV and is willing to share that knowledge. Lastly, he was very responsive through out the process. "I was looking around for a Class B Rv to purchase and found a Roadtrek in Illinois for sale. I live in Maryland so I wanted a mechanic to go check it out before I bought it so I randomly called a auto repair shop in Illinois and they gave me the name Rob Wilhelm. I didn't know he was a level 2 certified RV inspector. I called Rob and told him about the RV and where it was located. He spoke with me at length about RV's. He answered all of my questions and addressed my concerns. Mr. Wilhelm has a wealth of knowledge of all things RV related. I'm new to this so I had a lot of questions and he answered all of them. He did the inspection on the RV and gave me a 92 pg report with pictures detailing everything. Additionally I opted to buy the fluid analysis to ascertain the condition of the transmission, engine, generator and cooling systems. I also got the detailed fluid analysis from the lab in a timely fashion explaining every finding and what it meant on the graph.I can't say enough about Mr. Wilhelm. He's knowledgeable, patient, honest and great to talk with. His professionalism is excellent. He emailed, called etc exactly when he said he would. He never left me hanging and would always return emails and calls promptly. This was a very pleasant experience! I recommend Pro RVI for any inspections you may have in this area or beyond. Actually i just got off the phone with (selling dealer) in regards to the Renegade RV. I have spent the last two days since getting your reports trying to decipher and make decisions on the unit. Since (selling dealer) has taken the attitude that there are no issues with this coach of any kind and it was ridiculous on my part to have the inspection done. I have asked them to send me my down payment back. They insist that no one ever does fluid analysis on units like this. The two main points of contention for me were that the generator needs extensive rework and then retesting to determine its true condition. Also the water damage to the back of the rear slide area was a concern also. My main point of contention though ended up being the results of the cooling test (coolant analysis) for the Detroit diesel engine. After speaking with a diesel mechanic and then a sales person involved in the purchase of used trucks both advised me to walk away from this purchase and that is what I have decided to do. (Selling dealer) was not willing to negotiate any discounts and insisted this RV was in perfect condition and needed no additional work. I did share the reports with seller at his request. I would rate your service at a 5....I will definitely have the next RV I decide I may want to purchase inspected as I feel that it provides great information I may have overlooked in my inspection. "This is my first RV purchase and going into it I felt very uninformed on the mechanical and cosmetic condition of the RV. I have been monitoring prices online for several years, but was always hesitant to take the plunge especially since most RVs I'm interested in are a long ways away from Seattle. When I found the Phillips RV listing, I knew another RV at this price wouldn't come around again. After engaging with the sales person, I started researching RV inspectors. I was skeptical of "Professional RV Inspection", wondering who these people are given that I wouldn't be able to interview my inspector in-person. I found Pro RVI and several other inspectors on NRVIA's website. Pro RVI has a nice website, solid reviews on social media, and I had a great phone conversation with Rob leading up to the inspection. The cost of the inspection was a concern at first, but given the price of the RV it was really a minor expense and a huge piece of mind to know the complete condition of the RV. I was very excited about the RV and the issues found by the inspection helped bring me back down to Earth and refocus on negotiating the price and repairs. Ultimately the dealer made a number of repairs throughout the coach that would have cost me twice what the inspection cost. It more than paid for itself! The purchase depended entirely on the results of the inspection and the dealer's willingness to correct any issues. The fluid reports made me feel a lot better about purchasing the RV and were worth the added expense."

"Yes, I did go ahead with the purchase. The inspection did affect my decision because even though there are some minor mechanical repairs to be addressed, I felt the overall unit was worth the risk especially for the price I paid. I do feel that the inspection was worth it because of it being an older unit the report gave me an overall picture of it's condition and it gave me piece of mind with my decision to purchase. Plus it has given me a good "to do" list of things to be done to the unit. I may not have known where to start otherwise because I am so new to it. I did share the report with the dealer and they did recaulk most, if not all of the seals, they replaced the burnt out light bulbs and took it to a mechanic to check out the dash air. "Professional, timely and affable. I heard back from Rob right away after my initial inquiry and he walked me through the different types of inspections and offered guidance on which was best for me. His work was thorough and extremely valuable - resulting in a number of repairs and replacements on the Class A we were looking at. He even issued me a small refund on a "fluid test" that turned out not to be applicable to this particular motorhome - for the record, I would have never known, but for his honesty. I wouldn't consider purchasing another motorhome without getting an inspection done and Rob would be my first call."

"Pro RVI (Rob) has made our experience of buying an RV a complete pleasure. They came recommend by another inspector (Jim McKay). My wife and I are from Australia, with absolutely ZERO RV experience. Rob told us initially what to look for in RV shopping. We then sent him website links and he expressed any initial concerns he had BEFORE inspecting. Then when we decided on units - he spoke to the dealers. Some dealers "don't allow" inspectors on their lot, and that too raised red flags. The unit we ended up purchasing came from a dealer that Rob had recommended. "So glad I found Pro RVI! Rob Wilhelm is fantastic and seriously knows his stuff. I met him randomly on a Facebook RV group and was so glad when he agreed to inspect my pre-owned rig that I had just bought.
He not only gave me a full report with 20 pics and 89 points that he had inspected, but he also did a 2 hour lesson to show us everything we needed to know to get on the road. We listed a ton of questions for him and he answered every one, even walking us through where the valves were for the black tank (we would have never known there were 2 valves on opposite sides of the rig).
I would not feel comfortable driving or travelling with my new rig without having Rob inspect it. Best money I ever spent".

It is my opinion if we can get the entertainment system, seal issue around nose cone, nylon/plastic strip in kitchen slide, "stress crack", smoke detector, and worn rubber sweeps on slides corrected that we would have an RV in good condition.
Com Ed installed a new transformer on the pole at the street this morning. Sorry that was thrown at you.
Anyway, appreciate the job!"
